OUTFIT DETAILS: JACKET | SKIRT (Also love the POLKA DOT print) | similar PUMPS | BAG
How’s everyone’s week going? Mine’s been super busy but somehow I still had time to shop:) This week I bought this cute peplum utility jacket and it happens to be 40% off right now with code HBDUSA. It’s relatively simple so it pairs well with anything and does a great job of tempering loud florals. You guys know I have a weakness for floral prints and that’s probably an understatement. So it’s important to have the right things to pair with all my flowery purchases. Dark or olive green will balance out any floral print really easily, which makes a good olive green jacket a wardrobe essential.
I highly recommend this jacket
, particularly if you have a smaller torso and have trouble finding jackets that fit well in the waist. I bought this in the XXS Petite and the fit is perfect – not too fitted and not too relaxed. It also comes in Regular
and if you’re looking for a different colorway, there’s a peach option (not available in Petite) which is super cute for summer as well. I also really like this slightly distressed shirt jacket
, which has a more relaxed fit and is great with shorts or jeans. It’s selling out fast and currently only available in size S so jump on it if that’s your size or check back to see if it’s been restocked. With 40% off this is a great deal for the season.
This ruffled floral midi skirt is an easy option for summer and is just as easily worn with a white or black tee or camisole. Since it’s pretty loud I kept the rest of the outfit neutral. This skirt comes in several prints including a really cute polka dot. The material doesn’t wrinkle and you guys know how important that is to me because I hate to iron. Sometimes I even hate to steam. I know, I’m lazy! I’m linking my outfit details directly below:
If you want more floral skirts (because I always do) scroll all the way down to the bottom…
My legs are so bitten up from all the summer bugs. I’m a bug magnet and always forget to bring my bug spray. In the meantime get ready to see some unsightly marks on my legs ugh. Or maybe my hem line will just have to drop lower and lower. I have a feeling there’s a maxi skirt post in my future.
As summer begins we’re doing more day trips. This year I wanted to spend more time exploring New England versus flying somewhere else. I love the discovery and adventure of road trips. I’ll be posting a lot of our travel on Instagram
so if you’re interested in seeing our New England experiences, find me here
. And hopefully I can also get the time to post some travel guides for any of you interested in visiting this part of the country.
Have a great week. xo
