5 CUTEST PANTS FOR SUMMER & NSALE PICKS
One of my favorite trends this summer is the relaxed pant. This is the closest you can get to wearing pajamas all day so the appeal is self-evident! These lightweight “easy” pants are so versatile and can quickly be styled for work or for casual looks. I’ve shared 5 of the cutest ones in this post (including some from the big Nordstrom Anniversary sale.) These are in no particular order and the ones I’m wearing are actually #5, at the bottom of the post. And good news, all of my picks are under $100!
#1 CROPPED PAPER-BAG: This pair is one of my all time favorites. They’re paper-bag like the ones I’m wearing but instead of the wide leg, they taper in. This actually makes them quite figure-flattering, especially on petite frames. They come in 4 colors – I adore the thyme and white! Both can easily wear into Fall with some warm layers. I love that they come in a shorter inseam – no alterations needed for petites!
#2 FLORAL PALAZZO PANTS: As you probably know by now, I am a huge fan of florals so it’s not surprising that I love these pants! The dark floral is really versatile – very easy to style with a blouse for work or a tank for the weekend. The only downside is that they don’t come in a short inseam so petites will have to get the hem shortened.
#3 NEUTRAL BEACH PANT: This neutral pair is cut close to the body but still has a relaxed look and feel. I like the sand color and as they say on the website they’re perfect for “strolling the boardwalk”! I got them in XS and rolled up the pant leg to shorten it. These are under $70 and are a really great casual option for a beach vacation.
#4 DARK FLORAL ELASTIC WAIST PANTS: This is another floral pair that won me over with the pretty print and super soft material. While some of my favorites are linen, I find certain linens to be itchy! If you have sensitive skin too then this one is a good option – it’s 100% viscose, isn’t itchy in the slightest and best of all, is machine washable. I also like that it’s a dark print so if you have ice-cream and coffee spills, which I always end up with somehow, the print conceals the stains. Boom!
#5 CROPPED CULOTTES: These are the pair I’m wearing and I’ve been wearing them a bit too much since I bought them. These are so easy to wear since they go with literally everything. Note that these are technically culottes and unless you’re petite they’ll hit higher on your leg than they do mine.
Also I haven’t had a chance to go through the Nordstrom anniversary sale properly but there are two pairs of pants that jumped out at me. First, this wide-legged navy pair is currently only $62.90 but will be $95 after the sale ends and second, these pleated waist pair in black with tapered legs – perfect for work! The sale is currently only open to Early Access customers, which means those with a Nordstrom card. If you don’t have a Nordstrom card, this isn’t a bad time to open one since the good stuff really does fly off the shelf.
