TULLE FOR SUMMER // CAPE ANN
Welcome summer! Finallyyy.
I felt like that welcome deserved it’s own paragraph since I love summer so much. Now on to the tulle. I’m obsessed with tulle. I blame it on Sarah Jessica Parker and her Sex in the City outfits from way back when. I honestly didn’t like the show but the wardrobe made an impression. Anyway, here I am, finally indulging my tulle fascination. I say finally because it feels like I’ve been looking forever, for the perfect one that doesn’t puff out way too much. Well, the search is finally over. If you, like me, have been feverishly looking for a wearable tulle skirt that doesn’t puff out too much, this is it ladies!
This outfit was perfect for our visit to Rockport in Cape Ann – another under 2 hour drive from the Boston area and as I discovered, a popular tourist destination. This little town is so colorful, which is how I like to dress, so it was a match! Speaking of colorful, this Save the Bees tee-shirt is too cute and perfect for summer. I’m a fan of the most J.Crew tee shirts because the fit is so good and this one also happens to be the cheeriest colors so it was a no-brainer.
My daughter likes my cat-eye sunnies! And obviously I do too. This matte finish and the cat-eye shape sold it for me. Also, only around $50 so it’s a good way to experiment with this shape if it’s not your usual pick. I find it to be so flattering since it pulls the eye up.
My striped straw tote is fabulous for mom life – lots and lots of room for all those kid things but also cute! Not to mention that straw is king right now. You can wear it across seasons and carry it almost anywhere and look chic. I wore it in this post this past Fall. This one has gone out of stock several times at a few retailers so if you like it, jump on it.
The flatform game. What can I say except that I’m ALL IN. Something about this style of shoe. It’s so ugly cute, I just can’t resist it! It’s another style that I feel makes anything look cooler. Not necessarily prettier, but cooler for sure. If you’re wondering about comfort, these are mega comfy. I’m also obsessed with this Valentino pair but that will have to stay in my dreams.
