It got cold a couple of days ago, meaning it dipped below 70. I know, I’m a wimp! Anyway, I took the opportunity to do some layering. I bought this orangey-red gingham shirt a while ago and have been wanting to put it together with polka dots. The shirt is still available in both petite and regular sizes (i’m wearing Petite XS for reference) and is 30% off with code PARTYON. Throw some houndstooth into the mix and voila, you have a fun yet sophisticated look. All of these prints – polka dots, gingham, houndstooth and plaid can go with almost anything. So funny how some prints can do that – like leopard. It’s all about the ‘tude when you wear it!

I bought the coat this past winter and plan to wear it across seasons for many years. It’s medium weight, equivalent to a heavy sweater. Mine is no longer available but I linked a similar option that I also own and love. You can see how well this coat works across seasons in this winter post. You’ll see that I paired it with ivory elements in that outfit as well – houndstooth and ivory are just such a classic combination.

I’ve been looking for some cute black joggers that can cross between running errands or a business casual look. Joggers are one of my favorite style of pants – they’re good for pear shapes!  I can’t find my exact pants online but these are very similar. You can style these so many different ways, like with a tee and sneakers for weekend errands.

My brown leather bag has become a favorite. When I first bought it I wasn’t sure how often I would use it in the summer when I usually go with straw bags and baskets but this one is so cute and versatile that I’ve been wearing it quite a bit. I reviewed it in this post if you’re interested in more details on the bag. It’s currently on sale for under $100. I want the yellow as well. And the pink!

These round sunglasses are my experiment with metal sunnies with a nose bridge. I love the look of these round Ray-Bans but wasn’t sold on how they would look and feel on me so I bought this $7 dupe to try on for size! They only had the dark lens available in-store when I stopped in but the ones I really wanted to try are they green gold shade (which I linked in the Ray-Bans).

You’ve seen these cognac sandals before because I wear them so much. They really are so comfortable and go with everything from dresses and skirts to jeans and well, joggers:) It’s a simple sandal but is a major workhorse. These and all kinds of flatforms (found this perfect punchy pair for only $50
Thanks for stopping in – hope you liked this mixed prints look. What are your favorite prints to wear together?
