HOLIDAY OUTFITS PART 2
If you’re looking for a last minute Thanksgiving (or other holiday) outfit, I’ve found the perfect dress, now on sale for under $20! This deep blue color is so flattering and I love the soft feminine style of the dress. It also comes in a very pretty pink. It’s cut like a tunic so styling it with a glittery belt is a great way to create the shape you want and also add some holiday sparkle. Also really love this gorgeous new arrival floral red dress.
I also love the high neck and long sleeves, both of which give this simple dress an elegant look. It also comes lined 3/4 of the way, which is a nice get for a dress under $40. With tights underneath you wouldn’t really notice that the lining doesn’t go the whole way down. For reference, I’m wearing the dress in size 2 – I’d say it runs true to size. If you like this style of dress you can also see a similar style of dress (but with ruffles and better for work or day time wear) in this post.
I wear these shoes a LOT as I’m sure you’re aware if you’ve been to my blog before. You can’t go wrong with a black sandal with bow detail and this one is a great dupe of the Valentino pair I linked in the scroll bar below. The price difference is $40 versus $800 so guess which one I chose.
I recently picked up these hoop earrings with pearl detail since it’s perfect for everyday wear as well as for dressier occasions. I get tired of accessories fairly quickly, even the classics, so I tend to shop a lot of pieces under $20. These are only $3 right now! I also like this beaded drop hoop pair for $5. For a pair that are a little nicer and will last longer, I also love this simple medium sized pair of hoops in gold. If you’re also into the hollow hoops trend, check out last week’s post for a few pairs that are very budget friendly.
Last but not least, in Boston we are in full-on coat season. We skipped over Fall entirely and went straight to Winter. I was caught totally unprepared and have been spending the last few days in disbelief, hibernating. Luckily I had a few pre-season purchases that will take me through these next few days and this teddy jacket was one of them. I bought it from Zara several weeks ago and it’s no longer available online. But this one is similar and comes in a range of sizes – I also find this brand to be petite-friendly most times. Faux fur is actually really warm and this season faux fur is really, really IN. So there are plenty of choices. See below for a few of my faves right now. Also love this sherpa bomber for a sporty vibe that pairs well with feminine dresses (currently on sale).
As you may have noticed, this post is several days behind in my usual posting schedule. I’ve been majorly hibernating since the weather tanked from 60 degrees down to 30 degrees a few days ago. I’m a warm weather creature and I still find winters in Boston to be a major challenge. I’m going to make a real effort not to be such a bear since that usually means less blog posts but no promises! Thanks for stopping in and have a great week! xo
