HOW TO WEAR THE ANIMAL PRINT TREND
I promised in my leopard print post recently that you’d see more animal print on me, and here it is. Animal prints are a major fashion trend in Fall/Winter 2018 and they’re everywhere! Are you a fan of this trend? This flattering zebra print dress is such an easy way to wear animal prints. It’s also a great dress for layering so it’s perfect for Fall and Winter.

For reference I’m wearing the size 2 US petite which fits like a 0P-2P in this brand’s US sizing. I have a small waist and was happy that the dress fits well on the waist. It comes in both petite and regular, which is always nice!
With animal prints I generally keep the rest of my outfit simple. Keeping your other pieces black always works. That said, there are no hard and fast rules in fashion, and sometimes it can be fun to pile on prints. Combining a floral with an animal print is a no-fail combination if you’re looking for easy print mix ideas.
A big thank you to whoever designed turtlenecks because seriously, I cannot live without them. As soon as the temperature drops below 70, out come my turtlenecks. They’re SO great for layering. For wearing under dresses and tops, you obviously want to keep the fit as lean as possible. This turtleneck bodysuit is one of my favorites for wearing under other pieces. I wear them with dresses, button downs and other floaty summer pieces that I want to keep wearing through the cold weather.
Also, speaking of cold weather wardrobe essentials, a knee-high leather boot is a must. This black suede boot is an excellent option for an chic everyday boot. I also like this stovepipe pair for a super budget-friendly option.
PS: It’s Columbus Day weekend in the US and H&M is running a great sale where you can get up to 30% off. I haven’t had time to load my picks but stop by there if you want to load up on some great Fall dresses and knits! Loooove this ruffled mini dress!
I linked this post up to On the Daily Express. Her blog covers everyday casual style. The post I linked up to talks about another print that can be hard to wear sometimes but which I love – camo.
Hope you’re having a great weekend! xo
