Do you already have plans for Mother’s Day? I’m so grateful to be this little girl’s mama, and on Mother’s Day all I want to do is spend time marveling at how amazing she is. I know her Mother’s Day gift is going to be something she makes herself, which is so precious. I’m already tearing up thinking of the day when she goes from making me a gift to buying me one. Because that will mean she’s not so little anymore. And I want her to always, always stay my little baby.

I might wear something pretty similar to this for Mother’s Day. There may be pancakes on the agenda and column dresses tend to be really forgiving on a bulging belly. I’m definitely planning to wear this on vacation because I can’t go on vacay without packing at least one thing striped. The fabric is on the heavy side, which is quite figure flattering. I added a belt on this particular occasion but it looks equally cute by itself with cute flats for a more relaxed look.

I love the lace-up detail on this dress and of course the cheery cobalt stripes with red accents on the arms, neck and front. I also really appreciate the long sleeves – I’m one of the few people who loves long sleeves in the spring and summer. You always have the option to push the sleeves up but it’s nice to have the option to wear your sleeves down.

So for Mother’s Day gift ideas, I have 3 under $100. First, since this is the year of fabulous straw bags this chic straw bucket bag is a definite winner as a gift for any occasion. It’s two-toned and comes in 4 color options. I’m partial to the one with black band because I can’t seem to resist black/natural combos…as you can see from my Kayu bag.

Next up, I love these bright tassel earrings – so perfect for dressing up any outfit, comes in 4 colors and best of all, are on major sale for under $15 right now. What! I bought them at full price in red – I wore them in this post recently.

Last but not least, sneakers. Sneaks are so on trend to wear with dresses and skirts and there are so many styles to choose from. In a traditional sneaker my favorite right now are the Gazelles – roomy in the toe box but still sleek looking. I also love Stan Smith’s and just grabbed them in the black/white combo – they also come in several other color combos. My other favorite style is the hybrid sneaker espadrille, which is has a slightly more feminine vibe. So cute with almost anything. I love this white pair for its clean look so between these two my sneaker needs are taken care of for spring. Until I come across the next pair that I can’t resist:)
