WINTER COAT ROUND-UP

As some of you may know from my IG, I moved recently. Still in the Boston area but just went from suburb to another. I’ve been consumed with paint colors since the move and will share more on that in another post if anyone is interested (let me know in comments). And now I’m taking a break from all this house decoration madness by getting back to the important stuff, which is of course, clothes:)

Yesterday was the first snow of the season in Boston! So obviously I started thinking about coats right away. I have my tried and true classics from previous years, including a camel teddy, a classic Burberry puffer, and a few others that make the weekly rotation every winter. I’m adding this fuzzy teddy coat this year. I love the longer length and the XS is pretty petite-friendly even if you do need to hike up the sleeves a little. I know it’s pretty similar to the one I’m wearing here but it does have the extra inches and it’s more brown! The color is super rich and not at all boring. Oh and I also love this shorter length teddy bomber – super stylish but on the boxy side so depending on your size this may or may not work.

Also, this one in ivory is on my wish list but sadly it’s sold out of my size (XXS in this style) but all other sizes are still around. A good ivory coat is hard to find so I would jump on this one if you want to add a winter white to your wardrobe.

As winter sets in the outside will start looking more and more drab, I find some warmer colors and richer textures to be essential in my wardrobe line-up. This rich dark green wool belted trench has an elegant classic feel and the gorgeous color makes it stand out from the usual black coats.

What am I wearing all these coats with? Over my usual midi and maxi dresses:) This velvet maxi is so rich and perfect for now as well as the holidays. And this sparkly midi-dress was too hard to resist, even though I generally prefer sleeves for winter if I can have them. But this has sequins all over so…
