Blush is one of my favorite colors this year so it’s not a surprise that I was drawn to this dress. I love that this dress is a different style from my standard work go-tos. My standard picks tend to be wrap dresses and pencil skirts, so this is a nice change. The pale pink keeps you looking cool on hot summer days and it would be perfect for a brunch or a baby shower too! I’m thinking pink cupcakes,  pink lemonade, and this pink dress:)  I definitely didn’t do it justice with my frizzy hair and my end of the day pictures – sorry!

Beyond the color which I’m in love with, the cut is really flattering and feminine, and the box pleats are perfection. I also love the high-neck for work – it adds a subtle refinement. I styled it fairly simply and went with a monochromatic look. It came with a belt made from the same fabric but I swapped it out for this skinny patent one instead for a little more of a structured look for the office.

I was happy that this dress is petite-friendly despite not being Petite sized. It hits me right at the knees (I took size XS and am 5’2″ for reference), which makes it great for the office. The material is very light-weight and unlined (not at all see through though!). It’s perfect for summer –  silky against the skin and breezy.

It also has pockets, which are almost becoming a mandatory feature for me in dresses and skirts. Love having somewhere to stash that work key card. Anyone else have a security card for work and keep leaving it in the kitchen, conference rooms and other random places? It also comes in navy and black, both classic colors for work. The navy would be so cute styled with white for the summer, and deep yellows or mustard in the Fall.

I paired it with my awesome nautical blazer that is hands-down one of my favorites for the summer. The design details are phenomenal for the price. I couldn’t resist the gold buttons, the classic navy and white striped collar and striped lining when you roll back the sleeves! It’s currently marked down to $160 with an additional 40% off, making it a really great deal. The material is well-suited to Fall because it’s pretty substantial. This summer I’ve been carrying it with me for wear once I’m inside air-conditioned buildings or draping it around my shoulders for cooler evenings. Once the weather turns towards pre-fall, which is going to be soon, this will be the perfect transitional piece for work. I also love that it works easily to smarten up relaxed weekend pieces like a pair of shorts or skinny jeans.

You might recognize my sandals from a previous post. In case you’ve already read it I don’t want to bore you here but I will just say that these are incredibly comfortable. And since ankle-strap block heeled sandals are so in style right now I find myself wearing these a lot. Vince Camuto has always been one of my favorite brands for comfortable yet stylish footwear and this sandal didn’t disappoint. I know I’ve been gushing over this pair but there are so many great things about it, like the color which is really subtle, somewhere between blush and taupe versus a straight up pale pink. You can wear this with literally any color and with almost any style of outfit, so for around $100, so if your footwear needs a little updating, I highly recommend these dusty rose beauties.

Not in any way related to the outfit here but definitely work-appropriate, I found this chiffon pleated maxi skirt in a light taupey gray that I love. It’s only $30 and comes fully-lined, a nice surprise for the price-point. I’ll be wearing it with my sleeveless sweater in the Fall – if I can wait to wear it until then that is!
