WORK STYLE: PERFECT SPRING WORK DRESS
Apparently spring is here, though you wouldn’t know it from the arctic cold in Boston. I mean really, is the cold ever going away? I’m getting through this last stretch of miserable weather by immersing myself in spring shopping and vacation planning. So happy to finally be shopping for dresses again. I hit up several sales this weekend and found so many cute dresses for work, all under $100. If you like Banana Republic, you’ll be happy to know that much of my work wear haul was from there. I’m sharing my current favorites in this post.
This shirt-dress is so perfect for Spring and easy to style for work or weekends. I bought the regular size 0. I’m not sure if there was a Petite option available but I like that the hemline on the regular misses size is longer on me than on the model – the knee length makes it easier for me to wear to work. I found the dress to be petite-friendly but if you have narrower shoulders or hips you may find the fit to be off. I didn’t like the belt the dress came with but I was dying to wear this gorgeous suede kelly green belt anyway, so it worked out.
I think I’m relatively boring with footwear, consistently favoring pumps over most other styles. I was going to branch out a little more this Spring but when I saw these pink pumps they immediately ended up in my cart. What I really love about these is the color, a less common shade of pink with peachy undertones that are look really good with all skin tones and with almost any outfit. These are under $120 and come in 18 colors so there really is something for everyone. They’re incredibly comfortable for a pump and the grey multi-fabric are so fun (more of a navy than a grey as the name suggests).
DRESS, BELT, SCARF: BANANA REPUBLIC | PUMPS: SAM EDELMAN | BAG: MARC JACOBS old, also like THIS one for spring/summer | WATCH: C/O TIMEX | TRENCH: ASOS or similar HERE
A quick note on pink trenches – they are fabulous! Mine is from last year, worn in this post last spring (and all through the autumn showers). This pale pink mac, coincidentally from BR, is a close dupe and comes in petite sizes in additional to regular and tall. It’s very light-weight. And for those of you who appreciate structure, I found this one to have that crisp feeling that I personally find uncomfortable but always looks really posh on.
Thank you so much for stopping by, hope you had a wonderful weekend, and happy shopping. xo

Very beautiful spring look Trina! Love mix of bright colors with pastel trench together, and it looks so amazing with the rest of snow in the background!
