FLORAL DRESSES AND LABOR DAY SALES

Floral Dresses for Summer to Fall

Every few months I do a new round-up of floral dresses because I wear so many of them! A good floral print is always appropriate, for any season and occasion. This mock neck, A-line mesh floral dress is one of my favorites right now because it’s perfect for this in-between weather. As I talked about in my post on how to make your wardrobe work for both seasons, it’s always great for your wallet if you can buy pieces that work across both Summer and Fall.

Also this weekend is MEGA for sales so I shared my finds at the bottom of the post – there are some really good neutrals and basics!

The high neck of this dress and long sleeves are good for the cooler days and the mesh material and open-ish back are great for warmer summer days. It still lets the breeze through. It’s also under $30 so it’s a definite winner. I’m wearing size XS for reference.
I was surprised to find this gorgeous pink floral dress which I wore to the Ipswich Castle now on sale for only $52 – you can see me in it in this post
Also this flowy dark floral with asymmetrical hem with a decidedly boho feel is under $60. I love the blouson sleeves and drawstring waist, as well as the rusty red flowers paired with blue/teal – perfect Fall colors.

While I love dark florals for Fall, I also love bright floral prints like this vibrant dress. There’s no reason you can’t wear colorful florals in the Fall just as you would in the Summer. This one is perfect for late summer and so easy to style for Fall by simply adding a jacket and some booties.
A leather or faux leather jacket is a classic layering choice, but you can also try a more laid back look with a utility jacket. This outfit formula will work with pretty much any dress you already own so I love it.

This off the shoulder maxi is so pretty and is perfect for Fall with a thick nubby over-sized cardigan. I love the tiny florals in this one – so chic.

This ruffled fit and flare dress in a plum and navy floral print is so cute! It’s available in regular and petite sizes and is under $90, and currently an additional 30% off no code needed.

You know I love my maxis and this black floral maxi  dress with short sleeves is so good. It also comes in both Petite and Regular sizing and is another one that you can easily layer over for Fall.

Last but not least, this tunic style dress with subtle ruffles at the neckline and sleeves, and button placket, is so perfect for those get-ready-in-a-rush days. The cut is really flattering, not too fitted but not too relaxed. I love the dresses that make you look pulled together without having to put in any effort!

Labor Day sales are in full swing this weekend. There are so many good ones, it’s been really terrible for my wallet. But on the plus side the prices are really good! I snagged my favorite crew neck sweater in camel for 30% off – I have this one in so many colors and wear them all constantly. These are a classic and go with everything.  I also got this chambray shirt. It’s so versatile and will be great for simple outfit days with a printed skirt, or for you jeans lovers, with black skinny jeans
Abercrombie is 40% off site-wide! The fit from this brand is one of the best for petites in my experience. I bought this cropped sweatshirt that will be perfect with high-waisted bottoms and layers easily under a winter coat when things get real in about a month! I had tried it on in the store a few weeks ago and loved both the fit and how soft it was but didn’t want to pay full price (around $60). I also got this textured neutral sweater which has a slouchy fit and is great for layering over all the prints I wear.
And last, I was so surprised to see one of my favorite jeans in the world on sale for 40% off! These are boyfriend jeans with the perfect amount of distressing and soooo comfy! They do run a little big so I would size down. I wanted an extra baggy fit and went with my usual 26 but they would be more flattering in the rear end in a 25.
